Attack on ‘Padmavati’ shoot and crew uncalled for, says Sanjay Leela Bhansali

JAIPUR: Strongly denouncing the vandalism and strike on the arrangements of his film “Padmavati” here, movie producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Saturday said the episode was “uncalled for” and to a great degree harming to the picture of the wonderful city.

The National honor winning executive was roughed up by individuals from a Rajput people group assemble on Friday, who additionally ceased the shooting of the film by harming the set at Jaigarh Fort, claiming that the chief was “mutilating truths” in the motion picture which is about Alauddin Khilji’s fixation on Rani Padmavati.

In an announcement, Bhansali said that remembering the wellbeing of the film’s group, he chose to stop the shooting of the film post the “stunning” occurrence.

“Sanjay Leela Bhansali has shot two movies in Jaipur and in spite of his adoration for Rajasthan, for the wellbeing of his group, we have chosen to stop the shoot and leave the city post the stunning episode where scalawags harmed property and acted up with the team on the shoot of ‘Padmavati’,” it said.

Bhansali has prior coordinated the musical show “Padmavati”, which opened to pressed houses in Paris and got shining reaction. It was then that he chose to make a film on the gallant ruler.
